Lightweight Bulletproof Composite Vest as Personal Protective Equipment for Military Personnel – Development and Evaluation

Bulletproof vests are essential protective gear for military personnel, which are used to shield vital organs from the destructive force of small arms projectiles. Traditionally, these vests incorporate metallic or ceramic plates to inhibit projectile penetration and dissipate blunt force across a larger area. However, such materials are heavy, costly, and uncomfortable, limiting their practicality for long-term use. This project aims to develop a lightweight bulletproof composite vest as personal protective equipment for military personnel.
