Established in 2014 as Bangladesh’s first Department of Biomedical Engineering, MIST has graduated 7 batches (263 alumni) with an 81% employment rate, cultivating innovators who turn engineering into impact across academia, industry, R&D, the military, government services, and higher studies in Bangladesh and abroad. Equipped with a rigorous scientific foundation and a vision for innovation, our graduates lead and contribute at organizations such as MIST, JMI Group, CMED Health Ltd., and JBF Digital Trading Co., Ltd., while many pursue advanced degrees that expand the nation’s health-tech capacity and global reach. Their achievements reflect MIST BME’s commitment to excellence, innovation, and leadership, with a special focus on innovating affordable and accessible healthcare for all classes in Bangladesh and advancing the country’s biomedical engineering ecosystem, shaping smarter diagnostics and therapeutics, strengthening healthcare systems, and building a healthier future for Bangladesh and the world.
